Adapter probe permits the JPI probe and the factory CHT to coexist in the same location. The Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) – standard Bayonet – probe, has a captive 3/8-24 boss which is screwed into the base of the cylinder. The CHT port is drilled by your engine manufacturer. The CHT probe has a screwdriver slot to facilitate tightening. The bayonet probe 5050T has the 3/8-24 boss as part of the probe and is screwed into the base of the cylinder

Note! Pipe thread sizes do not refer to any physical dimensions. The outside diameter of a pipe or fitting must be measured and referenced to a table for size identification.

Note! Inserting a NPT tapered fitting into a port tapped for a straight thread fitting and tightening it can break or severely damage the item the fitting is being installed in.
