Why Do You Need Decals and Logos for Planes?

In many cases, you need to have the right placards and decals on the exterior of your plane to comply with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) requirements. Per the FAA, the appropriate placards must be on the plane's exterior and need to meet certain size requirements. Decals can also identify the aircraft manufacturer, engine type and propeller.

You need certain placards and labels inside of the plane as well, such as fuel pressure limits and labels for things like circuit breakers.
