Probe CHT Screw-in Type, Insight

The low profile style screws into threaded socket in cylinder head, common to virtually all aircraft engines.

Four types of CHT probes are available from Insight. While either type is satisfactory, the low profile style is more often used since it does not have to be disturbed when removing spark plugs. Engines equipped with electrical cylinder head heaters must use the gasket type probe.
