The higher powered TT22 can be used in IFR and VFR flight in high performance aircraft, over 175 knots and/or above 15,000 feet. The transponder control head is splash proof too so it’s ideal for open cockpit and seaplane operations.
Mode A and C transponders are now being replaced by Mode S technology which is optimized for tomorrow’s airspace requirements. Despite its modest size the TT22 is a heavyweight performer, at 250 watts nominal power output this class 1 transponder meets the latest FAA TSO C166b standards for ADS-B Out.
Trig were the first company in the world to offer a ‘mandate ready’ certified 1090ES ADS-B Out compliant solution. The TT22 is popular in the U.S. where a certified WAAS GPS, and a ground air determination device are also required forming the ideal 2020 ADS-B solution. It’s worth remembering that to receive all ADS-B In transmissions in the U.S. the FAA requires a functioning certified ADS-B Out device, so don’t miss out on airspace information - fit a Trig TT22.
All Trig products come with a two year warranty, supported by our global network of Approved Trig Dealers and Approved Trig Service Centers in the U.S. and Australia.
