Saito 90 3-Cylinder Radial
Looking for theultimate scale engine for that 60 to 90-size Stearman, or do you have a radial-cowled war bird just itching for a multi cylinder? Then check out Saito's latest offering - the 90 3-Cylinder Radial.
Saito's newest multi-cylinder engine utilizes the heads, pistons, rings, and valve assembles from their recently released Saito 30. The 90R3 is the smallest of Saito's radials but features the same design as its big brothers, the 4.50R3 and the 1.70R3. The crank drives one crank pin with a master rod, while two slave rods are pinned to the master rod, giving a 1-3-2 firing order. A single rear-mounted two-needle carb feeds intake manifolds. Exhaust tubes are included to direct exhaust gasses away from the aircraft. The 90R3 includes a baked-on black finish on the cylinders with gold tone valve covers for a sharp scale look.
