Fuji Engines Gasoline Power Plants
Electronic Ignition Engines
Starting most gasoline engines can require flip after flip after flip. Starting a Fuji engine with the EIS usually takes just one. Here's why.
In most engines, the engine creates the ignition spark but only when the prop hits a fairly high number of rpm. But in Fuji EI engines, the EI unit creates the spark by stepping up the power of the common 4.8V battery to 10,000 hard-cranking volts. Since the spark is already there, the engine can catch at far lower prop rpm. And when prop rpm requirements drop so does the time and effort it takes to reach them.
The solid-state controller box is sealed and protected against moisture, vibration and temperature and designed for firewall mounting. That reduces the rotating mass on the shaft and minimizes the chances of vibration. Already wired and ready for installation, with spark plug cap and standard 2-pin battery connector attached.
Lighter and more compact than conventional magneto systems, this rpm sensor detects and automatically adjusts timing for easier starts and more power at any rpm.

Fuji Engines: First with FairWeights
Instead of "engine-only" weights, Fuji has provided FairWeights for all engines. FairWeights are the best and most realistic estimate of total "installed" weight available, because they include not only engine weight, but the weight of muffler(s) and all necessary hardware.
