F-15 Strike Eagle

Since its first deployment to a combat squadron in 1976, the U.S. Air Force F-15 Eagle tactical fighter has maintained one of the most impressive combat records of the modern era. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney engines – reaching speeds exceeding twice the speed of sound – the Eagle's air superiority is achieved through a combination of exceptional maneuverability, acceleration and range, superior avionics and lethal armament. Its flight control and weapons systems – including the sophisticated Doppler radar system which makes it possible to detect, acquire, track and engage opposing aircraft while operating over friendly or enemy-controlled airspace – and have also been designed to enable a single pilot to effectively perform air-to-air combat.

Capable of penetrating hostile airspace, it will outperform and out fight any current aircraft it might possibly face. Armament includes a 20mm Gatling gun and a variety of air-to-air and air-to-surface missile systems. During the Balkan conflict of 1999, the F-15 was the only fighter attacking ground targets around the clock in all weather conditions, downing four Serbian Air Force Mig-29 Fulcrums in the process.
