Most Continental engines will require either a 1/2" or a 9/16" wrench. The notable exceptions are the IO-520 and the O-470 engines which require a 5/8" (and sometimes a 9/16") wrench. The Lycoming Wide Decks also use these wrenches (most commonly the 3/4" wrench). Additionally, a few of the older Continental engines will require the 3/4" wrench.
