TSO'd Multifunction Electronic CDI instrument with Automatic Radial Centering

The INS 422 is designed to be a complete standalone, fully integrated navigational instrument that supplies four basic navigational aids:

• VOR with Digital course Select and Automatic Radial "To" Centering
• Localizer
• Glideslope
• Three Light Marker Beacon Receiver

Digital display of CDI indications. CDI Output Data available at the rear connector for easy interface to most Autopilots. Fits in a standard 3 1/8" Instrument round hole. Dimensions: 3.5" Square by 11" deep.

Automatic Radial Centering

To determine the bearing "TO" a VOR station with conventional course indicators, it is necessary to manually rotate the OBS to center the course deviation pointer. With the Automatic Radial Centering feature, this is done automatically when the external momentary button is pressed.

Pressing the remote Automatic Radial Centering button enables circuitry to automatically position the CDI indication to provide a one-time radial "TO" the VOR station. The digital indications displayed on the CDI will then return to conventional operation, permitting the radial to be flown in a conventional manner.
