2 1/4" Instrument Mount
The ATC 4401 has been designed for all aircraft and helicopters where small dimensions and light weight are essential. Both the 175 and 250 versions have fully transistorized transmitters and are certified to FAA TSO regulations. The sunlight readable display is illuminated for night operations and shows current transponder code, flight level, if an encoding altimeter is connected and if Mode C is selected. Operation is simple and straight-forward and even includes one-button recall of two preselected codes. 9.5-32.2Vdc. 2.4" x 2.4" x 8".

This small, lightweight 760 channel transceiver is TSO'd and suitable for use for both VFR and IFR operations.
It is ideal for installation in small aircraft, home builts and gliders. However, because of its performance, size and low power consumption, it may also be used as an emergency standby communications transceiver on large business and commercial jet aircraft.
Where space is limited, the AR 4201 is clearly your best selection. It can be mounted in a 2 1/4 inch round instrument panel cutout, and its depth, including the mating connector, is less than 9 inches. Use of the most modern avionic technology has make it possible to provide 7 watts of output power (16 W PEP), with surprisingly low power consumption.
The AR 4201 has an internal intercom, integral lighting, supply voltage display, an external audio input, and an automatic test routine as standard features. Outside air temperature can also be displayed with an optional temperature sensor.
The clear display normally shows the active frequency and standby frequency, which can be interchanged by a simple "flip-flop" push button. 99 preset frequencies can be programmed into numbered memory channels, and easily recalled. The number of the memory channel to be recalled, the aircraft bus voltage value, or the optional Outside Air temperature can be displayed in the standby frequency window, by command.
Two standard aviation carbon, dynamic or electret microphones or headsets can be connected to the AR 4201 Provision is also made to connect unamplified dynamic microphones, if desired.
All functions of the AR 4201 can be remotely operated, via an RS-232 interface. This standard feature enables the AR 4201 to be easily integrated into Avionic systems using other RS232 compatible equipment. For example, if the BECKER GPS 4701 navigation system is also installed in the aircraft, it is possible to tune the AR 4201 to any frequency from the GPS system data base by a single keystroke.

This small, lightweight air traffic control transponder is particularly well suited for installations where instrument panel space is limited. It's CU 5401 control unit is designed to be mounted into a standard 2 1/4" (57mm) round instrument panel cutout, and is only 2 1/2" deep.
The mode A/C, receiver and high power transmitter, are housed in a separate unit, which can be installed at any convenient place in the aircraft.
The control unit offers a clear, high contrast, double line LCD display, which is readable under all lighting conditions, even in bright sunlight. When an altitude encoder is connected, the reported flight level is displayed below the transponder code, to verify correct operation of the entire system.
Any of the standard 4096 identification codes can easily be chosen by the rotary selector switches. Two preset identification codes, for VFR flight or other purposes, can be entered from the front panel, and stored in nonvolatile memory, for instant recall by a single key stroke.
This transponder is suitable in all types of fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, operates from both 14 and 28 volt input power, and will be certified for both VFR and IFR operations. It complies with the requirements of TSO C74c, class 1A, and can report altitudes up to 62700 feet. Low power consumption, coupled with small size and weight, and high altitude reporting capability make it an ideal selection as a standby transponder for larger aircraft operating at flight levels where interruptions in transponder operation can not be tolerated.
For truly compact installations, this transponder can be combined with other Becker PrimeLine II equipment, such as the VHF-COM, ADF, and the NAV-VOR/ILS navigation, which have similar control units providing a pleasant presentation in the panel.
The transponder remote receiver/transmitter unit can be controlled by other types of CDU or FMS devices and is ideally suited for use as essential sensor in flight management systems.
Supply voltage: +10 .... +32 V DC
