The KY 196A/197A is a space saving, powerful COM transceiver with "Flip-flop" frequency transfer. It allows clear reception and high power transmit. It has nine pilot programmable channels. The audio leveling automatically amplifies weak signals and mutes signals that are too strong. The gas discharge display allows easy viewing in all light conditions. Additional features include stuck mic indicator, direct tuning, remote tuning, manual display dimming and secure program.
