The SL30 NAV/COM combines a powerful 760 Channel VHF COM radio with a 200 Channel VOR, GS/LOC receiver. More than just another traditional NAV/COM, the SL30 incorporates features to reduce pilot workload including automatic decoding of the morse code identifier for the VOR or LOC/ILS station, user memory for storage of the NAV and COM frequencies you use most often, and a display of Identifier, Radial and TO/FROM for the station selected. Garmin now offers a high quality Nav Indicator with rectilinear meter movements for use with the new SL30 Nav Comm and GPS receivers. The MD200-306 is designed to operate with VHF navigation equipment, GPS, Localizer (LOC) and Glideslope (GS) receivers.

The MD200-306 will accept DC left/Right, To-From and Nav warn flag signals from an external VOR source. Additionally, the MD200-306 will accept DC signals from the SL30 glideslope receive to drive the Up/Down needle along with the GS warn flag. Users can select between normal and back-course approaches on the SL30.
